Overview
Due to our outreach to international professionals, we have offered foreign language narration and subtitles for our video productions since the early days. We utilize our proficiency in several foreign languages to ensure high-quality control over the final product. Our subtitles meet the following expectations:
- Translator Familiarity: The translator is well-acquainted with the movie.
- Accurate Translation: The translation matches the original in intended meaning, style, and length.
- Readability: The subtitles are easy to read, considering the number of characters per line and the allocation of time.
- Aesthetic Presentation: The placement, typesetting, and size of the characters are aesthetically pleasing.
Contributions to Film Festivals
International Film Festivals
Subtitles are often projected in real-time
at international film festivals. Quan Xiang Multimedia Studio has contributed
significantly to this field. In 2004, six movies by Hungarian director Béla Tarr were
featured in the “Director in Focus” section of the Taipei Golden
Horse Film Festival, using Chinese subtitle files prepared by us:
·
Almanac of Fall (Hun)
·
Damnation
(Hun)
·
Family Nest (Hun)
·
The Prefab People (Hun)
· Satantango (Hun)
· Werckmeister Harmonies (Hun)

EU Commemoration
To commemorate Hungary’s accession to the EU in 2004, we published the Hungarian movie Close to Love (by Andras Salamon) on DVD. We gathered our international contacts to subtitle the movie in Chinese, English, German, French, Spanish, Hungarian, Japanese, Russian, and Turkish. It was our most sophisticated product during our Macintosh era, utilizing a PowerPC 9600 as described in our Video Post-Production Services.
Religious Organizations
At the request of religious organizations, we prepared Chinese subtitle files for:
- The Ian McCormack Story (first person, English)
- Kong Hai (Japanese)
